Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
I can make pretty much anything and everything you want for your garden or living space. I use quality timber to create bespoke products.
Which areas do you offer your products to?
I am based in Ollerton, Newark but I am happy to help customers from all around the Midlands. I can take on builds for customers further afield upon discussion.
What kind or timber or wood do you use?
I usually prefer to use tanalised pine for my products and in the pictures you've seen on my website. I can source other timbers if you wish.
What are the benefits of having bespoke timber products/ furniture made
I can make custom outdoor timber products to fit absolutely any space you might need filling. I use quality timber for all my projects and its all 100% hand crafted, so you have one person who understands your vision and gives all the care and attention needed to provide premium, stable, long-lasting furniture.
What do I need to do to get a custom piece made?
Firstly, it's always good to start with an idea of what you want. A drawing, a picture or a good description always helps. I also need measurements. Measurements of the outdoor space you want the furniture to go into or measurements of the dimensions of the piece itself. Everything will be discussed in a phone call.
How long does a custom project take approximately?
The amount of time a project take usually depends on the project scale. Just as an example, the strong jointed bench shown on my website would take approximately 2 weeks from start to finish.
Urgent jobs will be considered upon request.
Is your timber sustainable?
All the timber I use for my projects are sourced by suppliers to encourage and promote sustainability. For every tree taken down, two more are planted. I understand the important of maintaining forestation for our environment.
How should I take care of my custom timber furniture?
All the pieces I make for you can last a lifetime if looked after correctly. The best thing to do is to paint your furniture once a year, and make sure it is covered adequately throughout the winter months.
